In 2004, designer Massimo Luca gave life to the ADL project with the aim of creating products loaded with technology that represent an architectural function within homes. His experience in the field of design combined with his thinking, which looks to the future, have determined the direction of the company. ADL aims to create doors that are not a simple furnishing object, but that complete the environment by becoming part of it.

ADL doors want to distinguish themselves by transforming themselves into openings that do not divide spaces, but that divide and unite them at the same time, creating what Ludwig Mies van der Rohe defined as “flowing spaces”.

Massimo Luca's keen sensitivity and extensive experience in interior design have positioned ADL as a key player in the international market. After studying urban planning at IUAV, Massimo spent over twenty years in cutting-edge design studios, collaborating with top designers and leading companies in furniture, kitchen design, and high-tech aluminum products.

His work includes influential projects featured in buildings by Armani Casa, Matteo Thun, and Renzo Piano. Massimo's deep study of materials, particularly aluminum and glass, has shaped his innovative approach to design. His doors go beyond mere furnishings; they create "flowing spaces" that enhance modern living, embodying functional and technological advancements.

ADL pays special attention to environmental issues and aims to achieve the lowest possible impact on nature. The company designs and manufactures recyclable products that guarantee maximum durability and reliability over time. The production phases are carried out entirely within the company, ensuring that each door is made up of elements that are easily separated from each other at the time of disposal. Attention to eco-sustainability does not stop at the manufacturing procedures, but also reaches the choice of raw materials: mainly glass and aluminum, which are 100% recyclable materials. ADL is also equipped with a photovoltaic system to produce its own energy needs.

The frame, made entirely of aluminum, is light, but at the same time solid and durable over time; it gives the door a technical look that blends perfectly with the glass plate, which helps to isolate sounds and odors, and based on the chosen finish allows you to adjust the brightness of the room. The company is constantly researching and experimenting in the field of design and has a high capacity for customization. Each shape, material, finish and color is designed and used to create a precise project, in which design does not prevail over technology but joins with it, coexisting within the ADL product.

The extruded aluminum profiles are always sized with abundant thicknesses to ensure maximum resistance and durability over time. The doors, even if large, slide silently and safely, supported by trolleys equipped with high-capacity bearings. The self-braking device and the special anti-flag device provide additional safety and reliability. The multiple adjustments and dimensional tolerances allow for ease of installation in any environment.
Every construction detail (hinges, lock supports, spacers produced in die-casting) is carefully studied to make the final product safe and reliable.

The continuous tests carried out on ADL products confirm the maintenance of the perfect functionality of the doors and components used, for example the peek for the rotation of the swing doors that does not wear out over time. Even the glass used offers safety and guarantee, as it is tempered and/or laminated, and certified by the manufacturing companies.

Glass can contain, reflect and refract light, multiply and distort vision. As if it were a membrane or an ideal boundary, it can conceal and protect. A true diaphragm between the outside world and the inside world, closed space and open space, which lets light pass through while blocking air. Due to this particular nature, for many centuries glass has been considered a magical material, capable of connecting the visible with the invisible, reality with the divine. Inside the living space, the need to conceal the view, without losing brightness, becomes increasingly fundamental for the well-being of those who live there. ADL responds to this need today, not only with the well-known acid-etched and reflective glass, but with a range of innovative glass, among which material glass stands out, laminated with mesh and fabrics

Thanks to the POR we financed the acoustic certification of the MIES wall, obtaining 36 dB of reduction for the single-glazed version and 45 dB for the double-glazed version. The certification was carried out at a laboratory authorized by the ministry and recognized internationally.

Made entirely of aluminum, Levante is the first ADL panel that can also be used in the organization of outdoor spaces as a mobile sunshade and windbreak element, equipped with CE marking. Specifically, the ADL system has brilliantly passed the wind load resistance tests according to the UNI EN 1932:2013 and UNI EN 13659:2015 standards, reaching the maximum class 6.

The product has also been subjected to some salt spray aging tests according to the UNI EN ISO 9227:2017 standard, reaching the goal of the high C4 class. This important result, the maximum for the commercial category to which Levante belongs, confirms the high quality standard of all the materials and components adopted in the creation of this innovative product.
